You may notice that you are receiving traffic or visitors not from your target country. In this post, we'll give you a bit more information on why this might be happening.
Non-target visitor accounting for less than 20% of traffic
If you are seeing a minority of non-target traffic, then your campaign is currently set up correctly but you'll still see a small amount of visitors from other countries as sometimes visitors from other countries will still visit your website through our campaign.
This is fairly normal and should account for a minority of visitors with the vast majority still from the country of your choice. This non-perfect targeting is mainly due to limitations from our ad network partners and their limitation around preventing no-target visitors from visiting the target URL.
In general, our professional plans will have a much higher target traffic percentage than our standard plans. Our professional plans typically can ensure more than 85% of traffic comes from your target country, whereas our standard plans can only ensure a range of between 75 - 90% from your target country.
Our product team is continuously working with our ad partners to ensure we're able to further target your intended geography and we hope to bring the number of international visitors down over time.
Non-target visitors accounting for more than 25% of traffic
If you are seeing traffic not from your target country accounting for 25% or more of your overall traffic, it may be that our operations team had made an error when setting up your campaign. Please reach out to us with your email or Order ID and our support team will be able to double check or fix this for you.
